The Re-X is an alternative-metal band formed in Rome in 2020, known for their powerful sound that blends modern American metal with electronic influences. Crystal Emilianiโs vocals, capable of shifting seamlessly between melodic and distorted tones, intertwine with the sharp voice of Francis D. Mary, while Ivan Danieleโs technical and energetic drumming completes the mix.
The Re-X write music in both Italian and English, allowing their sound to reach beyond the borders of Italy and expand their audience.
The RE-X were founded with Crystal Emiliani on vocals, Francis D. Mary on guitars and secondary vocals, as well as producer, and Marco Antonio Sergi on bass and backing vocals. In 2022, a significant lineup change saw the arrival of drummer Ivan Daniele, while bassist Marco Antonio Sergi left the band. Thanks to their strong chemistry and shared goals, the trio continued writing and recording the album โTornare a Vivereโ.

The journey of RE-X began with their self-titled EP, followed by the album โTornare a Vivereโ and the singles โRed Vampireโ, โUndoneโ, and โIl Suo Nome รจ Cenerentolaโ. These tracks are part of their latest EP, โBlack Gravityโ, marking a new chapter of musical growth for the band.
Experiences and Achievements
In 2022, the Re-X made it to the finals of Sanremo Rock, performing on the historic stage of the Ariston Theatre. Their music has been broadcast on various national TV channels, and theyโve had the honor of being featured on multiple radio stations such as Radio RID, Centro Suono Sport, Radio Rock 106.6, and others across the country.
Additionally, they have performed on prestigious stages like those of Lucca Comics 2023 and opened for Le Bambole di Pezza in 2022. Their live performances have graced significant venues, including Stazione Birra, Crossroads, and the iconic Ariston Theatre.
